Spoiler, Removing And Installing: Installing

Gap dimensions. Refer to REAR SPOILER GAP DIMENSIONS .
Tightening specifications. Refer to OVERVIEW - SPOILER .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Replace adjusting mechanism.

-- Clip the adjusting mechanisms -3 and 4- into the rear spoiler -2- .

-- Remove the peel-off backing, align the intermediate piece -1- with the adjusting mechanisms and tape it to the rear spoiler.

-- Retract the rear spoiler. Refer to the Owner's Manual.

-- Remove the upper water drain hose -1- for drive unit. Refer to UPPER WATER DRAIN HOSE FOR DRIVE UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Install and align the rear spoiler in the drive unit. Refer to REAR SPOILER GAP DIMENSIONS .

-- Push the rear spoiler and hold it with a second technician in alignment with the body contour.

-- Open the rear lid and tighten the bolts -2 and 3- through the opening for the water drain hose.

-- Install the upper water drain hose for the drive unit. Refer to UPPER WATER DRAIN HOSE FOR DRIVE UNIT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
