Overview - Power Steering Pump, 6-Cylinder TFSI, With Dynamic Steering

Power Steering Pump Assembly Overview

NOTE:

Always Replace Seals.

Do Not Reuse Fluid You Have Drained.

Only Use Hydraulic Fluid.

Bracket
Sleeve
- Drive the sleeve back slightly to install the power steering pump.
Bolt
- 20 Nm
Clamp
- Always replace if removed
- Tension using Hose Clip Pliers:VAG1275A
Intake Hose
- The "P" marking on the evacuation hose -arrow- must align with the formed seam -arrow- on the power steering pump.
Power Steering Pump Regulator Valve -(V119)-
- The power steering pump and the control valve are one component and can only be replaced together.
Power Steering Pump -V119-
- With Power Steering Pump Regulator Valve -(V119)-
- The power steering pump and the control valve. Refer to -item ) OVERVIEW - POWER STEERING PUMP, 6-CYLINDER TFSI, WITH DYNAMIC STEERING - POWER STEERING PUMP REGULATOR VALVE -(V119)- are one component and can only be replaced together.
- Allocation. Refer to the Parts Information..
- Delivery pressure, checking. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP DELIVERY PRESSURE, CHECKING, 6-CYLINDER TFSI .
- Removing and installing. Refer to POWER STEERING PUMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 6-CYLINDER TFSI, WITH DYNAMIC STEERING .
- Fill with Hydraulic Fluid before installing
- Bleed the steering. Refer to STEERING, BLEEDING AFTER REPLACING .
- Check hydraulic fluid level. Refer to POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL, CHECKING .
- Steering System, checking for leaks. Refer to STEERING, CHECKING FOR LEAKS .
Seal
- Always replace if removed
Union Nut
- 38 Nm
- 36 Nm , this tightening specification applies only with the Torque Wrench 1331 Insert - Flared Ring Wrench - 17mm:VAG1331/10
Pressure Line
CAUTION:
- Insert The Pressure Line Completely When Installing.
- Note the installation position: the angle between the line connection and the power steering pump axle must be approximately 59°.
