Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415-, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove The Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover. Refer To DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- For USA Vehicles: Remove The Impact Absorber. Refer To BUMPER / IMPACT ABSORBER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING / INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTRAL TUBE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove The MMI Screen Cover. Refer To MMI SCREEN COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove The Gap Cover For The Instrument Cluster. Refer To INSTRUMENT CLUSTER GAP COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the screw -2- for the trim -1-.

-- Insert the Ignition Lock Pliers:VAS6339 through the trim doors.

-- Position the tips of the Ignition Lock Pliers:VAS6339 on both holes -A arrows- on the Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- -2-.

-- Press the Ignition Lock Pliers :VAS6339 together -B arrows- to spread the tips of the pliers and release the trim retaining tabs.

-- Hold the Ignition Lock Pliers :VAS6339 pressed with one hand and remove the trim -1- with the other hand -arrow C-.

NOTE:

Only Use The Ignition Lock Pliers:VAS6339 To Release. Remove The Trim By Hand.

-- Remove the bolt -2-.

-- Remove the Access/Start Authorization Switch -E415- -item 1- forward from the instrument panel towards the driver footwell.

-- Disconnect the connector -3- by sliding the retainer -4- upward -arrow- and pressing the release inward.
