Locking Mechanism Trim, Removing And Installing, Locking Mechanism With Lock Cylinder: Installing

-- Guide the front clips -arrow- under the cover.
-- Make sure the cover is covered by the rear part of the trim -1-.
-- Press the front of trim -1- down until the clips -arrows- engage audibly in the retainer.
-- Press the section of trim -1- marked with an -arrow- down at an angle until the center rear clip engages audibly in the retainer.

NOTE:
The Trim -1- Is Seated Securely Once It Engages Audibly With The Retainer.
-- Make sure the button -2- moves easily after installing the trim.
-- When installing the trim -1-, make sure the lock cylinder installation position is correct. Refer To Figure.
- Left Trim: the pin on the lock cylinder must face forward (Direction Of Travel).
- Right Trim: The pin on the lock cylinder must face the rear (Direction Of Travel).
