Memory Seat/Steering Column Adjustment Control Module, Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:
  • Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer To SAFETY PRECAUTIONS .
  • Before handling pyrotechnic components (for example, disconnecting the connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Turn on the ignition.

-- Disconnect The Battery Ground Cable With The Ignition Turned On. Refer To BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove The Front Seat: 

-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair Fixture:VAS6136  . Refer To FRONT SEAT, MOUNTING ON FIXTURE FOR SEAT REPAIR .

-- Disconnect the connectors -2 through 5- on the control module -1-.

NOTE:

The Number Of Connectors May Vary Depending On Equipment. The Description Shows The Version With The Most Equipment Possible.

-- Unclip the tabs -arrows- using the Trim Removal Wedge:3409  .

-- Carefully tilt the control module -1- in the direction of the -arrow A- out of the retainers -2-.

-- Slide the control module in the direction of the -arrow B-.

-- Disengage the control module hooks -arrow- from the bracket.

-- Remove the control module from the bracket.
