Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING: Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
Secure all hose connections with hose clamps that match the ones used in series production. Refer to the Parts information.
Make sure this parts do not come in direct contact with the vehicle body or any other parts.
-- Make sure when sliding on the coolant hoses, that as little air as possible remains in the pump and in the coolant hoses. Refer to COOLANT CIRCUIT, BLEEDING .
- Note the flow direction for the coolant on the Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50- / Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-.
- Note the correct arrangement for the coolant hoses on the Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50- / Coolant Shut-Off Valve -N82-.
- Interchanged coolant hoses can result in failure of the passenger compartment heater due to the incorrect flow direction of the coolant.
- Coolant hoses that are bent cannot allow enough coolant to flow causing the passenger compartment heating to fail.
-- Tighten the bolts -5- to 1.5 Nm.
-- Press the bracket -4- completely into the clip nuts -6-.
-- Install the fresh air intake shroud. Refer to FRESH AIR INTAKE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Check the coolant level and bleed the coolant circuit. When doing so, make sure to observe the relevant instructions. Refer to COOLANT CIRCUIT, BLEEDING .
-- Check the activation and functionality of the Coolant Recirculation Pump -V50-. Refer to Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the "Guided Fault Finding" function.
