Installing The Over-Center Spring

-- Clip the bearing shell -1- in the appropriate bearing position.

Bearing Position	Vehicles With
"I" -arrow A- :	All engine types excluding 1.8 L TFSI-engines (PR number TF6, TW2, TH2)
"II" -arrow B-	1.8 L TFSI engine (PR Number TF6, TW2, TH2)

-- Install the over-center spring -2-.

The black side -arrow C- faces the clutch pedal.

-- Press the clutch pedal -1- down as far as the stop and insert the over-center spring -2- with the T40025.

-- Pull the clutch pedal back to its rest position. Remove the assembly clamp while the over-center spring is stretched.

-- Install the footwell vent. Refer to OVERVIEW - AIR ROUTING AND AIR DISTRIBUTION IN PASSENGER COMPARTMENT .

-- Install the instrument panel cover on the driver side. Refer to DRIVER SIDE INSTRUMENT PANEL COVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
