Pistons, Removing And Installing: Installing
Install In Reverse Order Of Removal And Note The Following:
- Replace the bolts that were tightened with an additional turn after removing them.
- Arrow on the piston crown points toward belt pulley side.
-- Install the compression ring. Refer to -item ) OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD.
-- Installing the oil scraping ring. Refer to -item ) OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD.
-- Coat the contact surface of the bearing shells and the cylinder wall with engine oil.
-- Push the piston -1- with the :T40347 carefully by hand in the cylinder -arrow-.
- Arrow on the piston crown points toward belt pulley side.
-- Install the connecting rod bearing cap. Pay attention to the installation position -item ) OVERVIEW - PISTONS AND CONNECTING ROD.
-- Install the cylinder head. Refer to CYLINDER HEAD, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Install the oil pan upper section. Refer to OIL PAN UPPER SECTION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
