Electromechanical Parking Brake Control Module -J540-, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Fold Up The Right Rear Side Trim Panel In The Luggage Compartment. Refer to LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRIM PANEL, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

A trailer towing control module may be installed depending on the model. The trailer towing control module and the bracket for the module must be removed before removing the electronic parking brake control module.

-- Remove the nuts.

-- Slide the locking mechanism for the connection -2- forward.

-- Remove the electronic parking brake control module -1- with the plug connector.

-- Remove the connector from the control module.

-- Remove the control module from the vehicle.
