Brake Rotor, Replacing, 1LT And 1LY: Installing

NOTE:

Clean Bolts Before Reusing

Replace Damaged Bolts

Always replace self-locking bolts.

Clean the brake rotor, wheel hub and contact surfaces before installing.

-- Place the brake rotor on the wheel hub.

NOTE:

When positioning the brake rotor, do not tilt it on the wheel hub.

-- Install the securing bolt -arrow- and tighten.

-- Position the front brake carrier.

-- Install the bolts -5- on the front brake carrier and tighten.

-- Install the front brake pads. Refer to BRAKE PADS, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, 1LT AND 1LY .

NOTE:

After replacing the brake pads, press the brake pedal firmly several times while the vehicle is stationary so that the brake pads are seated properly in their normal operating position.

-- Install The Wheels.

Wheel bolt tightening specification. Refer to WHEEL BOLT TIGHTENING SPECIFICATIONS .
