Brake Caliper, Removing And Installing, 1LA, 1LB, 1LJ And 1LD 1ZT + S4 /S5: Removing

Special Tools And Workshop Equipment Required 

• Torque Wrench 1332 40-200 Nm :VAG1332 
• Torque Wrench 1332 Insert - Reversible Ratchet:VAG1332/1 

-- Raise The Vehicle.

-- Remove the wheels.

-- Free up the brake hose on the bracket -4-.

-- Release the electrical wire from the bracket -2- toward the left -A- and remove.

-- Remove the bolts -1- from the brake carrier.

-- Remove the brake caliper with brake pads and the brake carrier.

Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.
