Driver/Front Passenger Backrest Heating Element -Z7- / -Z9-, Removing And Installing, Bucket Seat: Removing

-- Remove the backrest cushion and place on a soft surface toward the rear. Refer to OVERVIEW - BACKREST COVER AND CUSHION, BUCKET SEAT .

NOTE:

The wiring harness for the module carrier must not be disconnected from the seat pan.

-- Disconnect the connector for the backrest heating element.

-- Cut the wire -6- off directly at the old seat heating element -arrow-.

NOTE:

The old seat heating element remains on the cushion and the new seat heating element is bonded over it.

-- Remove the old electrical wire.

-- Disconnect the wires -5- and -7- to the heating elements at the backrest bolsters.
