Vibration Damper Sealing Ring, Replacing: Procedure

-- Remove the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

• The Tensioning Pins T10531/2 is installed.

-- Remove the seal -arrow- with the -T40274-.

-- Clean the contact and sealing surface.

-- Push the seal -arrow- on the -T10354-.

• The closed side of the seal points to the -T10354-.

-- Push the seal -arrow- with the -T10354- on the -T10531/2- and place on the lower timing chain cover.

-- Additionally attach the -T10375- and tighten the -T10531/4-.

-- Drive the seal in all the way using the -T10354-.

Further installation is performed in reverse order of removal, while noting the following:

• Replace the bolt with O-ring for the vibration damper after removal.

-- Install the vibration damper. Refer to VIBRATION DAMPER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
