Rear Lid Hinge
NOTE:
The Rear Lid Motor 1 -V444-, on the left side, must be removed first, depending on the equipment level, refer to OVERVIEW - REAR LID, REAR LID MOTOR .
- Removing:
  -- Remove the nuts on the rear lid.
  
  -- Remove the screws over the rear shelf and the hinge.
- Installing:
  -- Insert the hinge under the rear shelf and secure it lightly using the bolts.
  
  -- Slide the hinge in just far enough until it can be secured in the holes with two 7.5 mm drill bits Rear Lid Hinge Securing Hole .
  
  -- Tighten the hinge bolts -3- to the tightening specification.
  
  -- Position the lid on the hinge and secure it using the nuts.
  
  -- Engage the spring and the gas-filled strut.
  
  -- Close the lid carefully.
  
  -- Align the lid sideways and lengthwise.
  
  -- Tighten the nuts on the rear lid and the bolts on the body side.
