Oil Pan Lower Section, Removing And Installing: Installing

-- Spray the sealing surface with sealant remover and allow it to work.

-- Remove any sealant residue on the oil pan upper section using a flat-blade scraper.

CAUTION:

- Wear protective eyewear.

-- Remove any remaining sealant on oil pan lower section -1- using for example, a rotating plastic brush.

-- Clean any oil or grease off the sealing surfaces.

TIP:

Be sure to check the expiration date of the sealant.

-- Cut the tube nozzle at the front marking (nozzle diameter: about 3 mm).

-- Apply sealant on the clean sealing surface of the oil pan lower section as shown -arrow-.

-- Immediately attach the oil pan lower section and tighten the bolts. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Fill the engine oil and check the oil level. Refer to ENGINE OIL .
