Special tools and workshop equipment required 

• Locating pins T10096
• Engine/transmission jack V.A.G 1383 A
• Torque wrench V.A.G 1331
• Torque wrench V.A.G 1332

Removing

-- Remove subframe. Refer to SUBFRAME .

-- Remove stabilizer bar from subframe -11 and 14-.

-- Remove the stabilizer bar.

Installing 

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

Tightening specifications, refer to SUBFRAME, STABILIZER BAR, TRANSVERSE LINK, BALL JOINT, AND LEVEL CONTROL SYSTEM SENSOR ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

Tightening specifications, refer to STEERING GEAR ASSEMBLY OVERVIEW .

-- Install subframe. Refer to SUBFRAME .

-- Replace locking element after each removal.
