Seat Pan Cover, Separating From Upholstery

Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removing 

-- Remove cover and upholstery from seat pan. Refer to SEAT PAN COVER AND UPHOLSTERY .

-- Remove the cover -1- from the upholstery -2- as far as possible.

-- Cut through the upholstery clips -3- using pliers -4-.

-- On vehicle from 09.09, pull the seat cushion out of the cloth loop -arrow-.

-- Remove cover from cushion.

Installation 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Use new upholstery clips.

-- Close wire clips with upholstery clip pliers V.A.G 1634.

-- Place the upholstery clips in their original locations.
