Main Fuse Box In Right Rear Of Luggage Compartment On Battery

Observe notes on contact corrosion. Refer to CONTACT CORROSION .

Removing

-- With ignition switched off, disconnect battery Ground (ND) wire. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Loosen nut -1- several rotations.

-- Release retaining spring -3- and open lid -2- over main fuse box -arrow-.

-- Disconnect electrical wires -1, 5, 6, 7 and 8-.

-- Remove positive wire terminal clamp with main fuse box from battery.

-- Remove nuts -arrows-.

-- Remove the battery interrupt igniter -N253- -item 9-. Refer to Airbag, Servicing in Removal and Installation .

-- Remove main fuse box -4-.

NOTE:

Ignore -item 2- and -item 3-.

Check the exact main fuse box assignment in the current wiring diagram. Refer to Wiring Diagram.

Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Connect battery. Refer to Connecting .
