Installing

Installation is the reverse of removal, with special attention to the following:

-- Remove V.A.G 1869/2.

NOTE:

Push the brake pistons back using the T10145 before installing the brake pads. Refer to FRONT BRAKE CALIPER PISTON, PRESSING BACK .

Make sure that brake fluid cannot leak out of the brake fluid reservoir because it will damage components and the paint.

When siphoning brake fluid, always use a bleeder bottle that is used exclusively for brake fluid.

WARNING:

Brake fluid is poisonous. NEVER siphon brake fluid with your mouth! Also due to its corrosive effect, brake fluid must not come into contact with paint work.

-- Install brake pads. Refer to FRONT BRAKE PADS, 16" FN3 .

-- Tighten brake caliper on brake carrier with both guide bolts. Note torque: 30 Nm

-- Connect the brake line in the brake caliper.
