Brake Pedal

Removing 

-- Remove the driver side storage tray. Refer to Removal and Installation .

-- Disconnect brake pedal from brake booster. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL AND BRAKE BOOSTER, SEPARATING .

-- Remove nut -5-.

-- Remove hex bolt -9- from brake pedal and bushing.

Installing 

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.

-- Slide hex bolt -9- through brake pedal and bushing.

-- Use new nut -5- and tighten. Note torque: 25 Nm

NOTE:

Lubricate mounting points with Polyurea grease G 052 142 A2 before installing.

Clip brake pedal to brake booster push rod ball head.

-- Hold ball head of push rod in front of mounting and push brake pedal in direction of brake booster, so the ball head locates audibly. Refer to BRAKE PEDAL AND BRAKE BOOSTER, SEPARATING .

WARNING:

Make sure the brakes are working correctly before driving the vehicle for the first time.
