Backrest cover, removing and installing: Notes

NOTE:

In the illustration, removal and installation of backrest cover is shown on a front seat with the active head restraint system.
Removal and installation of backrest cover on a front seat without active head restraint system is the same.

Replace

4 - Backrest cover

Removal

Disengage footwell cover - 8 - on underside of seat at tabs - 7 - (Qty. 4) from spring mat.
Disengage retaining strip - 2 -.
Loosen retaining strips - 6 - (Qty. 2) from side panels Footwell cover retaining strip, loosening .
Press against backrest cover where indicated by arrow - 4 - to remove wire clips - 3 - (Qty. 3).

Disengage backrest cover - 4 - upward from brackets - 5 - (Qty. 2).

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. When doing so, note the following:

Replace clips - 3 - (Qty. 3).
Slide footwell fastening strip into side trim bracket Footwell cover retaining strip, loosening .
