Charge Air Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Observe the guidelines for clean working conditions. Refer to appropriate service information. .

-- Remove the lock carrier cover. Refer to LOCK CARRIER .

-- Remove the air filter housing. Refer to AIR FILTER HOUSING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolts -1 and 2- and remove the bumper cover noise insulation toward the rear.

-- Release the clamps in direction of -A arrows- and remove the air intake grille -1- at the left and right from the lower section of the bumper cover in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Release the retaining tabs in direction of -A arrows- and tilt the left and right air ducts -1- toward the center of the vehicle in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the air duct hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -arrow-.

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Remove the air duct hose from the charge air cooler by loosening the hose clamp -1-.

-- Push the catch downward in direction of -arrow A- and move the charge air cooler upward slightly in the direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the charge air cooler upward from the radiator in direction of -arrows A- and push it in direction of -arrow B-.

-- Remove the charge air cooler from the left side downward in direction of -arrow C-.
