NOTE:

For Vehicles With AWD, The Bearing Inner Race "F" Must Be Removed Before The Gear Set Is Removed.

AWD Vehicles:

-- Remove the transmission housing. Refer to GEAR SET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the circlip -arrow-.

-- Remove the "F" bearing inner race -arrow- using the :VAS251001 and :T10431/1 .

-- Remove the gear set and place it on a clean work station. Refer to GEAR SET, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and remove the shift forks 4/6 and 5/7 together.

CAUTION:

Input Shaft Damage

When removing the input shaft 1, the 7th gear wheel may already be loosened and can fall.

-- Remove the input shaft from the gear set.

CAUTION:

Damage To Input Shaft 1 Components

Individual components may fall out when removing.

-- Remove The Synchronization With The Gear Wheel And 5Th/7Th Gear Bearing.

NOTE:

Make Sure That The Sensor Wheel -1- Is Not Damaged.

The Following Components Can Now Be Removed:

Label The Installation Position Of The Individual Components If Necessary.

NOTE:
Deposits And Debris On The Thrust Washer Are Not Critical.

Clean The Thrust Washer Before Installing If Necessary.
