Bonded Rubber Bushing In Transmission Carrier And Console, Removing And Installing

- Gearbox Carrier Mounting Assembly ToolT10214
-- Remove the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support. Refer to TRANSMISSION CARRIER AND CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Remove the bonded rubber bushing.
-- Install the new bonded rubber bushing using the T10214/3.
-- Install the bonded rubber bushing -A- into the T10214/2 using the T10214/3 until the T10214/3 is flush with the T10214/2.
-- Use an Gearbox Carrier Mounting Assembly ToolT10214 to align the bonded rubber bushing with the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support.
- The holes -A- or notches -arrow- on the T10214/3 must be positioned in the center of the Engine/Gearbox Jack - Gearbox Support holes.
-- Check the left and right hole distances to the T10214/3:
- Left dimension -x- = right dimension -x-
-- Install the bonded rubber bushing through the T10214/2 so that it is flush.
-- As soon as the T10214/2 can be turned by hand -arrows-, remove the Gearbox Carrier Mounting Assembly ToolT10214.
-- Check the press-in depth of the bonded rubber bushing:
- The bonded rubber bushing must be flush with a maximum projecting end of 0.5 mm when pressed in.
-- If necessary, use a Base BlockVW 441 to press in the bonded rubber bushing.
-- Install the transmission carrier. Refer to TRANSMISSION CARRIER AND CONSOLE, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
