Lines And Hoses Assembly Overview (Vehicles With V8 TDI Engine)

1. Location of hoses on reservoir and reservoir bracket to body, refer to Fig 2.
2. Return line bracket to body, refer to Fig 3.
3. Return line clip to refrigerant line, refer to Fig 4.
4. Return line to refrigerant line bracket, refer to Fig 4.
5. Intake hose to engine, refer to Fig 5.
6. Return line clip to coolant line, refer to Fig 6.
7. Hoses to hydraulic oil cooler, refer to Fig 7.
8. Return line bracket to subframe, refer to Fig 8.
9. Return line to coolant hoses, refer to Fig 8.
10. Pressure line to oil pan, refer to Fig 9.
11. Return line to steering gear, refer to Fig 10.

-- Position reservoir -4- on bracket -3- when installing.

-- Tighten the bracket -2- with the bolts -1- to 8 Nm.

-- Markings -7- on suction and return hose -8- must align with webs -5-. Secure suction hose and return line -8- with hose clamps -6-.

-- Secure return line -2- with line brackets -1- to body.

-- Secure return line -1- with clip -2- two times on refrigerant line -3-.

-- Secure return line -1- with line bracket -4- to refrigerant line bracket -5-.

-- Attach the left front intake hose -2- to the engine. Tighten the bolt -1- to 9 Nm.

-- Secure the return line -1- with clip -2- two times on coolant line -3-.

-- Attach return line -4- to line -1- and return hose -6- to line -7-.

-- Markings -5- on return line -4- and return hose -6- must align with markings -2-. Secure return line -4- and return hose -6- with hose clamps -3-.

-- Secure return line -3- with line brackets -1- to subframe -2-.

-- Secure return line -3- with bracket -5- to coolant hoses -4-.

-- Attach the pressure line -1- to the oil pan -3-. Tighten the bolt -2- to 9 Nm.

-- Attach the return line to the steering gear Tighten the bolt -1- to 9 Nm.
