Left Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor -V48- AND Right Headlamp Beam Adjustment Motor -V49-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Removal
-- Turn off the ignition and remove the key.
-- Turn the headlamp switch to "0".
-- Remove the headlamp, refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Release locking slide -2- in direction of -arrow- and remove housing cover -1- from headlamp housing.
-- Turn headlamp height adjustment screw -3- clockwise as far as stop.
- This guides lamp unit in headlamp into "low position".
-- Insert a screwdriver into the opening -arrow- and pry out the screw for adjusting the height of the headlamp.
-- Disconnect electrical connector -1-.
-- Rotate the positioning motor -2- on the left headlamp clockwise and the one on the right headlamp counterclockwise.
-- Disengage the adjustment motor -1- from the headlamp housing.
-- Remove the ball head -2- by swiveling the control motor to the side and out of the ball head socket -3-.
-- Remove the adjustment motor from the headlamp housing.
Installation
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
-- Insert ball head of adjustment axle from the side into ball head mount of reflector, pull reflector toward rear to do so.
-- Position the quick release on the adjusting motor -2- on the headlamp housing.
-- Engage positioning motor counterclockwise on left headlamp and clockwise on right headlamp.
-- Connect the electrical connector -1- to the adjusting motor.
-- Install the adjusting screw for adjusting the headlamp height into the headlamp housing.
-- Close the housing lid.
-- Press the housing cover on the headlamp housing and secure the housing cover with the lock washer. Pay attention that all four tabs engage securely.
-- Install the headlamp, refer to HEADLAMP, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
