Left Front Coolant Pipes, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Remove the front engine cover -1- upward.

-- Remove the front noise insulation -1-. Refer to NOISE INSULATION, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
Cover the coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and then open it slowly to release the pressure.

Danger of personal injury due to the coolant fan turning on by itself.

The coolant fan can come on even when the ignition is turned off, for example, caused by the heat still in the engine compartment.

-- Open the coolant reservoir cap.

-- Place the Shop Crane - Drip TrayVAS6208 under engine.

NOTE:

The engine is not shown in the following illustrations.

-- Open the clamp -1-, disconnect the coolant hosing using the Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm3094 and remove them from the left front coolant pipe.

-- Remove the bolts -arrows-.

-- Loosen the clamp and remove the coolant hose -3- with Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm3094.

-- Loosen the hose clamps -1- and remove the coolant hoses from the coolant pipes on the Air Conditioning (A/C) compressor.

-- Remove the bolt -2- and remove the left front coolant pipes.
