MISFUELING Guard, Removing And Installing: Removing

Follow the guidelines for clean working conditions, refer to CLEAN WORKING CONDITIONS .

-- Open the fuel filler door.

-- Clean the area around the fuel filler tube.

-- Remove the fuel filler cap -arrow-.

-- Release the tab for the locking ring using the TORX® screwdriver -arrow-.

-- Insert the locking ring pliers into both holes -arrows-.

-- Turn the locking ring counter-clockwise 25°.

-- Tilt the locking ring inside the fuel filler tube and remove it through the fuel cap opening -arrows-.

-- Remove the misfueling guard from the fuel filler tube -arrow-. Use locking ring pliers if necessary.
