Fuel System, Bleeding

Vehicles with the engine codes BUG, BUN, BTR, CATA from June 2010, CCFA, CCFC, CCGA, CCMA from June 2010, CJGA, CJGC, CJMA, CLZB, CRCA

Due to the engine design and the fuel supply pump installed in the fuel tank, do not bleed the fuel system.
The fuel system bleeds itself when the starter is operated.

Vehicles with engine codes CASA, CASB, CCGA, CATA through May 2010, CCMA through May 2010:

CAUTION:

Letting the high pressure pump run dry will damage it.

If the fuel filter, fuel lines, the Auxiliary Fuel Pump -V393- or the are being replaced, then be sure to bleed the fuel system before starting the engine for the first time.
