Fuel System, Bleeding

Vehicles with the engine codes BUG, BUN, BTR, CATA from June 2010, CCFA, CCFC, CCGA, CCMA from June 2010, CJGA, CJGC, CJMA, CLZB, CRCA
- Due to the engine design and the fuel supply pump installed in the fuel tank, do not bleed the fuel system.
- The fuel system bleeds itself when the starter is operated.
Vehicles with engine codes CASA, CASB, CCGA, CATA through May 2010, CCMA through May 2010:
CAUTION:
Letting the high pressure pump run dry will damage it.
- If the fuel filter, fuel lines, the Auxiliary Fuel Pump -V393- or the are being replaced, then be sure to bleed the fuel system before starting the engine for the first time.
