- Follow all regulations when disposing of pyrotechnic components. Refer to AIRBAG, BELT TENSIONER AND BATTERY CUT-OUT UNITS, STORING, TRANSPORTING AND DISPOSING .
-- Turn on the ignition.
-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery with the ignition on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .
-- Remove the front seat.
- Mechanically adjustable seat FRONT DRIVER SEAT OVERVIEW
- Memory seat, power seat and Comfort seat. Refer to FRONT DRIVER SEAT OVERVIEW .
-- Mount the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair FixtureVAS6136 on the Engine And Transmission HolderVAS6095.
-- Attach the front seat to the Engine/Transmission Holder - Seat Repair FixtureVAS6136.
-- Remove the seat backrest panel.
- Mechanically adjustable seat. Refer to BACKREST COVER OVERVIEW .
- Memory seat, power seat and Comfort seat. Refer to BACKREST COVER OVERVIEW .
-- Remove padding from backrest until screw -1- is reached. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND PADDING OVERVIEW .
-- Remove the bolt -1- and remove the driver/passenger side airbag -3- from the side of the backrest using the hook -2-.
-- Guide airbag cable -4- and remove the side airbag from the seat.
