Front Three-Point Seat Belt, Removing And Installing: Removing

-- Turn on the ignition.

-- Disconnect the ground cable from the battery with the ignition on. Refer to BATTERY, DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING .

-- Remove belt anchor from front seat. Refer to BELT ANCHOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the B-pillar trim. Refer to B-PILLAR TRIM OVERVIEW .

-- Remove sill panel strip. Refer to SILL PANEL STRIP OVERVIEW .

-- Thread the belt webbing out of the B-pillar trim.

Vehicle with Air Duct in B-Pillar

-- Remove expanding rivets -1-.

-- Remove air duct -2-.

Procedure for All Vehicles

-- Remove belt guide -5-.

-- Remove the bolt -8-.

-- Remove belt relay -7- from seat belt height adjuster -6-.

-- Remove screw -3- for belt roller/belt tensioner -4-.

WARNING:

Before handling belt tensioner units (for example, disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity". This can be done by touching the door striker, for example.

-- Unlock connector lock with a small screwdriver -2-.
