Center Three-Point Seat Belt (2ND Row), Removing And Installing: Removing

WARNING:

Follow all Safety Precautions when working with pyrotechnic components. Refer to PYROTECHNIC, ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM COMPONENTS, SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AND TESTING PROCEDURES .

-- Remove the bench seat (two-thirds bench). Refer to BENCH SEAT, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

WARNING:

Make sure the backrest is locked (zero position) or it could tip forward accidentally.

-- Remove screw -2- for belt anchor/belt webbing -3- at seat frame, noting rubber disc -1-.

-- Remove cover and upholstery from backrest. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND UPHOLSTERY, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Remove the pop rivets -A- for securing the seat belt cover -B-. Do this by drilling out the pop rivet heads.

-- Remove cover from backrest mounting tabs -arrows-.

-- Remove nut -1- from threaded pins -2-.

-- Remove belt roller -3- from threaded pins and guide belt webbing -4- back when removing.

NOTE:

Remove drill shavings and remaining pieces of pop rivets from backrest and seat belt.
