Oil Screen, Removing And Installing: Installing

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the oil strainer only if it is damaged.

If oil strainer is being replaced, then not the following:

-- If present, carefully remove oil strainer seal -A- from transmission using a screwdriver.

NOTE:

Do not damage sealing surface.

The seal is shown with the Mechatronic removed to provide a better illustration.

The new oil strainer comes with the seal installed.

Continuation for new and old oil strainer:

-- Install the oil strainer intake tube -A- all the way into the opening in the transmission.

NOTE:

A new oil strainer with attached seal is installed in the transmission.

-- Install the ATF pan. Refer to ATF PAN, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

-- Fill the ATF and check the level after installing. Refer to ATF, DRAINING OR FILLING AFTER REPAIR .
