Oil Pressure, Checking

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the 4 bolts one after the other -arrows-.

-- Remove the bolt -1- and banjo bolt -3- for the oil supply line on the turbocharger.

NOTE:

Ignore -item 2-.

-- Install the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit - Adapter 20 & 21 VAG1342/20+21 and new seals to the turbocharger as illustrated.

-- Connect the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit VAG1342 to Oil Pressure Gauge Kit - Adapter 20 & 21 VAG1342/20+21.

-- Install an old oil pressure switch into the hole on the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit VAG1342.

-- Start the engine.

Assembling 

Assemble in reverse order of disassembling. Note the following:

-- Remove the Oil Pressure Gauge Kit - Adapter 20 & 21 VAG1342/20+21 and install the turbocharger oil supply line, refer to TURBOCHARGER OVERVIEW .
