Secondary Air Injection Combination Valves, Version 2, Checking For Function And Leaks

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Procedure 

-- Remove the vacuum hose -3- from the secondary air injection combination valve -2-.

-- Remove the secondary air hose -1- by pressing the release buttons.

-- Connect the VAS 6213 to the vacuum connection -1- on the secondary air combination valve that will be tested.

-- Connect a suitable assisting hose to the secondary air combination valve -2-.

-- Blow lightly into the assisting hose by mouth, do not use compressed air.

-- Run the hand vacuum pump to generate a vacuum.

-- If the secondary air combination valve does not react as described, replace it, refer to SECONDARY AIR INJECTION LEFT COMBINATION VALVE , SECONDARY AIR INJECTION RIGHT COMBINATION VALVE .
