EGR Auxiliary Cooler, Removing And Installing: Removal
-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- from the tab on the preliminary catalytic converter.
-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the 4 bolts one after the other -arrows-.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2- and then remove the heat shield from the turbocharger.
-- Remove the nuts -arrows-.
-- Remove the preliminary catalytic converter from the turbocharger and push it toward the rear.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2-.
Ignore -items 3 and 4-.
-- Remove the bolts -1- and -2- and remove the rear coolant pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
Ignore -items 3 and 4-.
-- Disconnect the vacuum hose -1- from the vacuum actuator and remove the Exhaust Gas Recirculation Cooler Switch-Over Valve 2 -N381- -3- from the bracket.
-- Remove the screw -2- and remove the left rear coolant pipe from the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
-- Remove the screws -arrows- and remove the exhaust gas recirculation auxiliary cooler.
