Left Selector Shaft Seal, Removing And Installing

Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil SealT10174

Procedure

-- Remove the selector lever. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .

CAUTION:

Shaft seal running surfaces on selector shaft and transmission housing must not be damaged.

-- Pry out left selector shaft seal -1- with a scriber or a small screwdriver.

-- Apply ATF to the circumference and space between the sealing lips of the new shaft seal.

Installed position:

Open side of shaft seal faces transmission.

-- Drive in new shaft seal with Seal Installer - Selector Shaft Oil SealT10174 without tilting seal.

-- Install the transmission selector lever. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
