ATF Lines And ATF Cooler, Cleaning

Procedure
Before installing a replacement transmission, always clean out the ATF cooler and ATF Lines using compressed air (maximum 10 bar (145 psi)).
-- Clean the following connections thoroughly: ATF pipe/transmission, ATF pipe/thermostat and ATF pipe/ATF cooler.
Wear protective eyewear.
-- Place the Used Oil Collection And Extraction UnitSMN372500 under the transmission.
-- Remove the bolt -1- and the ATF lines from the thermostat -2-.
-- Remove the ATF lines from/to ATF cooler on the thermostat -2-. Counter-hold at the thermostat.
-- Remove the ATF cooler and drain it. Refer to ATF LINES AND ATF COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING
-- Remove the thermostat and clean the ATF cooler and ATF lines with compressed air or rinse with ATF.
-- Remove the bolt -arrow- and pull the ATF lines off the transmission.
-- Attach a hose to one transmission/thermostat ATF pipe and secure it with a hose clamp. Hang the other end of the hose in a suitable container.
-- Clear the ATF pipe with compressed air.
-- Connect the hose to the other ATF pipe and repeat the procedure.
-- Install the ATF lines to the ATF cooler. Refer to ATF LINES AND ATF COOLER, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
