Fan Shroud: Removing

-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to VEHICLE LIFT MODE .

-- Switch off ignition.

-- Remove cover over radiator -arrows-.

-- Remove air guide hose -arrow- from connecting hose to Secondary Air Injection (AIR) combi-valves.

-- Unclip front differential breather line -arrow- from brake system vacuum pump -V192-.

-- Unclip air guide hose -1- to Secondary Air Injection (AIR) pump.

-- Separate the electrical connector -3-.

-- Remove bolts -2- and -4- and lay aside brake system vacuum pump -V192-.

-- Remove screws and remove front noise insulation -1-.

WARNING:

Risk of injury from coolant fan starting by itself.

  • Before working in fan shroud area, disconnect electrical connectors.

-- Remove screws -1, 4, 5, 6- on fan shroud.

-- Disconnect electrical connectors -2 and 3 - and free up electrical wiring.

-- Press locking tabs and left and right of fan shroud -arrow- and at the same time, lift fan shroud out of engine compartment.
