Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Coolant Thermostat And Connection, Removing And Installing

Removal

-- Carefully pull the engine cover off the 4 bolts one after the other -arrows-.

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Loosen the clamps -2- and -3- and remove the exhaust gas recirculation coolant thermostat from the connection and from the coolant hoses.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

Tightening specification. Refer to COOLANT PUMP AND COOLANT THERMOSTAT OVERVIEW .

NOTE:

Replace the o-ring.

Secure all hose connections with hose clamps of the same type as those equipped by the factory. .

-- Clean the sealing surface.

-- Fill the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
