Left Coolant Pipe, Removing And Installing
Special tools and workshop equipment required

Removal
Proceed as follows:
When Installation, bring all cable ties back to same positions.
-- Drain the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
-- Remove the generator, refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Disconnect coolant hose from -1- from connecting pieces.
Ignore -arrows-.
-- Remove coolant hose -2- from connecting pieces and free up coolant hoses to intake manifold.
-- Move coolant houses forward.
-- Disconnect the connector -3- from the Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor -G62-.
-- Remove bolts on connecting pieces -arrows- and remove clamp -1-.
-- Remove the connecting pieces -2- -lower arrow- by pressing the coolant pipe -1- in the direction of the coolant pump -upper arrow- with a pry bar.
-- Free up electrical connector -1- for Engine Speed Sensor -G28- on oil dipstick guide tube.
-- Free up B+ wire -arrow- on oil dipstick guide tube.
-- Remove bolt -2- and remove oil dipstick guide tube.
-- Unclip the Intake Manifold Runner Control Valve -N316- -arrow- from bracket and move upward slightly with the lines connected.
Ignore -Item 1-.
-- Remove coolant hoses -arrows- from left coolant pipe.
-- Remove left coolant pipe from cylinder block.
Installation
- Tightening specification, refer to COOLANT PIPES OVERVIEW .
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Replace the o-rings.
-- Clean or smooth cylinder block O-ring sealing surface.
-- Coat the new o-ring -1- with coolant and slide it onto the left coolant pipe -2-.
-- Insert coolant pipe in hole at cylinder block.
-- Install oil dipstick guide tube, refer to Fig 8.
-- Install the generator, refer to GENERATOR, REMOVING AND INSTALLING .
-- Fill the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
