Coolant Thermostat, Removing And Installing

Removal

Proceed as follows:

-- Drain the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Disconnect coolant hose from -1- from connecting pieces.

-- Remove bolts -arrows- and remove connecting pieces.

-- Remove coolant thermostat -2- from mount -1- on coolant pipe.

NOTE:

Ignore -arrows-.

Installation

Tightening specification, refer to COOLANT PUMP AND COOLANT THERMOSTAT OVERVIEW .

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

NOTE:

Replace the o-ring.

-- Clean and/or smooth O-ring sealing surface.

-- Insert coolant thermostat.

Installation position: the edges -arrows- on the coolant thermostat and housing must align.

-- Coat the new o-ring with coolant.

-- Fill the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
