After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-, REMOVING AND INSTALLING

Special tools and workshop equipment required 

Removal

Proceed as follows:

WARNING:

Risk of scalding due to hot steam and hot coolant.

  • The coolant system is under pressure when the engine is warm.
  • Reduce pressure by covering coolant reservoir cap with a cloth and carefully opening.

-- Open the coolant reservoir cap.

-- Disconnect vacuum hose -1-.

-- Remove air guide pipe -arrows-.

-- Disconnect the connector -arrow-.

NOTE:

Use a cloth to catch any leaking coolant.

-- Clamp off coolant hoses -2 and 3- with hose clamps Hose Clamps - Up To 25mm3094 and remove coolant hoses from After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-.

NOTE:

Ignore -Item 1-.

-- Spray the rubber nubs -2 and 4- on the After-Run Coolant Pump -V51- retainer -item 1- with silicone-free lubricating spray.

-- Disengage rubber nubs from retainer -3- for After-Run Coolant Pump -V51-.

Installation

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

-- Fill the coolant, refer to COOLANT, DRAINING AND FILLING .
