Reducing Agent Injector -N474-
Removing
-- On a vehicle with air suspension, activate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .
The reducing agent can cause skin irritation.
- Always observe the safety precautions when working with reducing agent SAFETY PRECAUTIONS => Observe the following when working on the reducing agent metering system: .
- Wear safety glasses.
Lay a cloth below to catch escaping reducing agent.
-- Press the release buttons -arrows- and remove the reducing agent hose -1-.
-- Disconnect the connector -2-.
-- Loosen the clamps -3- and remove the reducing agent injector -4-.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
- Tightening specifications, refer to ADBLUE® INJECTOR OVERVIEW .
Replace the gasket.
- Installation position: The tabs in the reducing agent injector -1- must fit into the mounts in the SCR catalytic converter -2-.
-- On a vehicle with air suspension, deactivate vehicle lift mode. Refer to the appropriate service information .
-- Adapting adaptation value after draining AdBlue® or replacing components. Refer to ADAPTING ADAPTATION VALUE AFTER DRAINING ADBLUE® OR REPLACING COMPONENTS .
