Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Coolant Thermostat And Connection

Removing 

-- Carefully pull the engine cover -arrows- off the 4 bolts one after the other.

-- Drain the coolant. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, DRAINING AND FILLING .

-- Remove the bolt -1-.

-- Loosen the clamps -2- and -3- and remove the exhaust gas recirculation coolant thermostat from the connection and from the coolant hoses.

Installing 

Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:

• Tightening specifications, refer to COOLANT PUMP AND COOLANT THERMOSTAT OVERVIEW .

-- Clean the sealing surface.

-- Fill with coolant FILLING .
