Brake Rotor, Removing And Installing, Ceramic Brakes 1LW: Notes
The brake rotor ring and the brake rotor cup are attached to each other and must never be separated. Never loosen the threaded connection on the brake rotor cup.
-- Lift The Vehicle.
-- Remove the wheels.
If brake pads are ceramics, wheel must not fall on brake rotor, otherwise it will be irreparably damaged. To install/remove wheel, install two assembly pins from vehicle tool kit in mounts on wheel bolts. The long assembly pin is in the upper position.
-- Remove the brake caliper at the bolt -10-.
Do not let the brake caliper with the brake carrier hang from the brake hose. Secure it to the body with suitable cable ties or wire. Do not support the weight with the brake hose.
Do not loosen the bolts -1- to remove the brake caliper.
-- Remove the bolt -6- from the brake rotor while holding the brake rotor firmly.
-- Remove the brake rotor from the wheel hub.
When removing the brake rotor from the wheel hub, do not tilt the brake rotor.
