Backrest Heating Element -Z7- / -Z9-, Removing And Installing, Comfort Seat: Removing
-- Remove the cover and the backrest cushion, refer to BACKREST COVER AND PADDING, REMOVING AND INSTALLING, STANDARD/SPORT SEAT .
-- Disconnect the cover from the padding. Refer to BACKREST COVER AND PADDING, SEPARATING, STANDARD SEAT/SPORT SEAT .
-- Cut the wire -1- off directly at the old lower backrest heating element -2-.
-- Cut through the connecting bars and wires -arrows-.
-- Carefully loosen the top and bottom of the backrest heating element -C- and -D- and remove.
NOTE:
The spacer fabric must not be damaged.
The heating elements -A- and -B- remain on the backrest bolsters and the new backrest heating element is bonded over them.
