Fastener Tightening Specifications

Connecting Rod   30 + 90° (1)
Dual Mass Flywheel   60 +90° (1)
Generator   23
Idler Roller   40
Ribbed Belt Pulley for Coolant Pump   20
Tensioning Device for Ribbed Belt   50
Vibration Damper   100 + 180° (1)
(1) Always replace

Accessory Assembly Bracket - Tightening Specifications and Tightening Sequence

-- Tighten bolts in 2 stages in -1 to 5- sequence as follows:

-- Tighten bolts by hand.-- Tighten the bolts to 23 Nm.
NOTE:

Bolts -1- and -2- are fitting bolts.

Sealing Flange - Tightening Specifications and Tightening Sequence

-- Tighten bolts in 3 stages as follows:

-- Install bolts -1 to 11- and tighten by hand.-- Tighten the bolts -1 to 6- diagonally in stages to 10 Nm.-- Tighten bolts -7 to 11- to 10 Nm.

Install Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor -G28- Sensor Wheel

NOTE:

If sensor wheel bolts were loosened, bolts and sensor wheel must be replaced.

-- Clean contact surface between crankshaft and sensor wheel, it must be free of oil and grease.

-- Lightly coat contact surface between crankshaft and sensor wheel with locking compound, locking compound.

Installation position:

NOTE:

Ignore the second "VR6" imprint -4-.

-- Tighten sensor wheel bolts in 3 stages as follows:

-- Tighten bolts by hand.

-- Tighten the bolt -3- to 10 Nm and an additional 90° (1 /4 turn).

-- Tighten both other bolts to 10 Nm and an additional 90° (1 /4 turn).
