Fastener Tightening Specifications

A/C Compressor - 25
Bearing Cap1 - 65 + 90°
Connecting Rod Bearing Cap1, 2 - 30 + 90°
Dual Mass Flywheel1 - 60 + 90°
Generator, Bolt/Nut - 23
Pressure Relief Valve - 27
Ribbed Belt Tensioning Damper - 23
Sensor Wheel1 - 10 + 90°
Vibration Damper1 - 10 + 90°
  • 1 Always replace
  • 2 Lubricate threads

Accessory Assembly Bracket Tightening Sequence

-- Install bolts -1 through 6- and tighten by hand.

-- Tighten bolts -1 through 6- to 40 Nm.

1. Install bolts -1 through 10- and tighten by hand.

2. Tighten the bolts -1 through 6- in a diagonal sequence in stages to 15 Nm.

3. Tighten bolts -7 through 10- to 15 Nm.

Rear Tightening Sequence

1. Install bolts -1 through 8- and tighten by hand.

2. Tighten the bolts -1 through 6- in a diagonal sequence in stages to 15 Nm.

3. Tighten bolts -7 through 8- to 15 Nm
