Chain Sprocket

Special tools and workshop equipment required
- Press Tube 30 - 100
- Thrust Piece 40 - 105
- Two-arm puller, commercially available
- Protective gloves
Removing
-- Remove oil pan with oil pump. Refer to OIL PAN .
-- Remove front sealing flange. Refer to FRONT SEALING FLANGE .
-- Pull off crankshaft chain sprocket with claw puller -2- for example Kukko 44-1, while protecting end of crankshaft with the 40 - 105.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
WARNING:
Wear protective gloves!
-- Heat up the chain sprocket in an oven for approximately 15 minutes at 220 °C (428 °F).
NOTE:
Installation position: Wider shoulder of chain sprocket faces toward engine.
-- Using pliers, install chain sprocket on crankshaft end and slide onto crankshaft to stop using the 30 - 100.
-- Install oil pan with oil pump. Refer to OIL PAN .
